Cheney: water torture a 'no brainer'

I don't even have the energy to comment on this one.

Gooooooo postal workers!

Canada Post has accepted to distribute a blatently homophobic pamphlet, prepared by an Ontario-based religious group, to residents of Vancouver. The pamphlet calls homosexuality "ungodly," "unhealthy," and "unnatural" and blames homosexual people for spreading AIDS by living without "any moral restraints." (read more here)

In response, 68 postal workers walked off the job and refuse to distribute the pamphlets. Who ever said these guys are all that bad?

I say, "hey religious zealots, leave my fruits alone!!"

Sexy feminist politicians!

It's all in a day's work for Italian MP Daniela Santanche. Strutting into Parliament in a sexy low-cut outfit, passing a tax on porn, and having her life threatened by Imam Ali Abu Shwaima for pointing out that the Qur'an doesn't actually call for women to be veiled (article
here).

Well, that didn't actually all happen in a day - it was more like a year. I just thought it made for a stylish opening.

"She was asking for it"

So according to a sermon by Sheikh Taj Aldin al Hilali in Sydney last month (click here to read the full article), uncovered pieces of meat (unveiled women) should not be surprised if they are eaten (raped) by passing cats (men). Apparently, "the uncovered meat is the problem. If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab, no problem would have occurred".

Nice, Sheikh. Nice.
